How to tune in an Akura TV?

How do I tune Freeview into a new TV?

  • I bought a new Hitachi 42in LCD TV and am trying to tune it in. Auto tune gets me all the channels plus Sky (but no sound on Sky - others OK), but how do I tune in all the Freeview channels? None came up on the Auto tune. And what happened to the sound on Sky? Am in Northern Ireland within sight of transmitters about 25 miles away.

  • Answer:

go on menu go down to instalation and then first time and then yes this is what works for me all though it is not a first time instalation, it will work Good Luck !!

Freeview is a Digital TV service that allows you to watch over 40 extra channels via your TV aerial. You don't need a satellite dish, and there's no subscription charge - all you need is a Freeview set-top box, or a telly that has a built-in Freeview receiver. This page is aimed at people looking to switch over to Freeview, and provides a basic guide on how to get and start watching Freeview. As long as you're in a good reception area, you should be able to view over 40 TV channels and around 20 radio channels.
