Better flat screen tv?

My husband wants to get a flat screen tv. What is the better name brand to get that will not also cost and arm and a leg?

Well, you also want a bit of quality..For the price, I like Samsung.! However, LG and Panasonic are up there too. (I just found the Samsung had a few extra nice goodies in the menus. Timers, daily, weekly, cold/warm adjustments, picture size on remote, etc..)

A simple answer is LG if you are looking for price. Their quality is not bad either.An LG plasma TV has what you want. If you want top quality you can get it with Sony,Sharp and Panasonic TV's. But if you want to play with price, you must play with time on the top brands. My advice is target what you want. Then get it when the price falls. Give the product 3-6 months and the price will drop drastically.

In my opinion you can't get a better brand than a Sony.Had mine now for 4 years and it's still has good today as the day i had it delivered.And it gets used a lot with having 2 kids
