Why won't my HDMI cable work?

Why wont my VGA to HDMI cable work with my laptop and tv?

  • My laptop does not have a hdmi slot and my TV doesnt have a VGA slot so i got a HDMI to VGA but my laptop screen doesnt appear on my tv any ideas??     Because the "cable/convertors" don't f$#%^&g work. You need an analog to digital converter box.

Because HDMI is a fully digital signal and VGA is analog. No cable will convert. Period. Get your money back. Did you read the reviews?

A plain cable won't do it. You need an active electronic converter. MCM Electronics sells a number of interformat converters. For VGA to HDMI, use # 83-11577, priced at $177.00 U.S.
