Samsung, or Panasonic Plasma TV.....?
-
I want to buy a 42"/50" Plasma TV for my Lounge. I have a £500 budget, but willing to go up to £650 if i'm getting something worth the price. I like these items: Samsung http://www.sainsburys.co.uk/sol/shop/technology/televisions/all_televisions/119802511_samsung_ps50c450_50_plasma_screen.html?primarySku=119738838 http://www.sainsburys.co.uk/sol/shop/technology/televisions/all_televisions/119738838_samsung_ps42c450_42_hd_ready_plasma_tv.html?primarySku=121271819 Panasonic: http://www.comet.co.uk/p/Plasma-TVs/buy-PANASONIC-TX-P42U20B-Plasma-TV/629006 http://www.comet.co.uk/p/Plasma-TVs/buy-PANASONIC-TX-P50U20B-Plasma-TV/645206 I really like the Samsung PS50C450 because of all the Net features it has, and i'm really considering buying it. The only thing that is stopping me purchasing it is the item developing faults early on and bad customer service. I've read the reviews about both these issues online, and it scares me ;( My question is; Are Samsung REALLY that bad, when it comes to there items and service? And is it a safe bet to got for a Panasonic Plasma instead. Tell me what you think? ;)

Answer:
It depends on what your using the set for if its gaming you are better off with lcd rather than plasma and you also need a set that runs at minimum of 60 htz as 50 htz will give you problems whilst using most game systems also you need the highest contrast ratio you can afford as a set lower than 500-1 will give poor results whilst using as picture will be grainy and not very good hope this helps but I would get it as soon as poss as changes are due in the market place soon and prices will never be as cheap as they are at the moment samsung are ok but customer service is a bit erratic to say the least at the moment but who knows the could improve soon I hope hope this helps but if you can avoid LG I would

i have a panosonic plasma and the picture quallitly is much better than the samsung my friend has and ive never had any problems with the plasma riunning out but LCD's are much better than plasma's logik does a good one for you in buget 32" and t has a pod dock its avaliable from currys
Well my advice is that you shouldnt even get a plasma because they will run out. That happened to me and we had to go and buy a whole new TV. Now i have a LCD TV and i dont have to worry about it running out :)
I was just googling and came across this product hope it helps you should get these hdtv from over here Samsung PS50C450 50-inch Widescreen HD Ready 600Hz Plasma TV with Freeview Samsung HD Ready plasma TV with 3 HDMI slots 600Hz subfiled motion for smoother images 0.0001ms response time for pictures with no blurring or ghosting Clear Image Panel for blur-free viewing from any angle Wide Colour Enhancer and Mega Dynamic Contrast (PDP) for cinematic clarity and colours
Panasonic plasmas are said to be the best. Plasmas in general are better for games and fast moving objects because of high Hz and response time rates. LCD/LED's still have some issues trying to match plasmas in this areas. I have an LG plasma. I'm watching a game right now and the picture is great. Really if you want more info this a good site to check out. http://www.plasmatvbuyingguide.com/

Dont bother with Plasma unless you watch lots of High speed action sports, Better to go for a good quality LCD. I have a Samsung LE42C750 and picture and sound are excellent and no trouble with it either
