What is wrong with my plasma screen?

What can I use to clean my plasma tv screen?

  • Grrrr my mum wiped our plasma TV screen with what I think must have been a wet cloth when the TV was still warm and I have been left with a massive water mark on it, I have tried cleaning it off with screen cleaner, vinegar and even nail varnish remover but is not budging? Please any clues?

  • Answer:

    get a wet paper towel scrub on to the screen hard enough for the mark to fade away , then quickly get a Dry paper towel n scrub the wet surface of the screen for it 2 dry , it usually works with my computer screen :) hope that helps

Buy wipes from Poundshop. They have them near Cd's etc. They work really well.

There are special wipes used to clean the tv.

With great difficulty. Do NOT use acetone! Nail varnish remover. I used to have to do this in various factories, and didn't really find a guaranteed answer.

i dunno what its called but its the same stuff used on computer screens. you can get it in a tv store, supermarket store or a computer store! hope i helped

U have used all of the cleaners. She may have use windex and that could have had somthing that whipped off the protective film that helps refuse the glare.

Your poor ole mum - I bet she feels so guilty. Don't waste anymore time trying to get rid of that water-line - its 'baked itself' on the TV screen and nothing is going too shift it. The bad news is - either get used to it - or buy another TV set.......bad luck.!!

Some plasma's have an anti-glare coatings that can be disolved by soap, windex or scrubbing. If you have already used the proper screen cleaner - chances are the screen is ruined.
