What is wrong with my TV?

  • Last night I went to sleep and my TV was on. Sound, Video, everything. I have an Insignia LCD TV, about 19" and everything was fine last night. I woke up this morning and the TV had no video. Just sound playing. I feel like it has done this to me before but I am not sure. I turn the TV off and on and a "Please Wait" comes up. I wait, and the TV goes dark and the show behind it, the sound turns on....just the sound... I tried unplugging it, changing the video output, everything I could think of. If anyone knows what happened and how to fix this, Id be GREATLY appreciated you share. Thanks!

    I suspect your problem is due to venting capacitors in its inverter stage. A trip to a competent technician is recommended for restoring its normal operation.

It sounds like a bad LCD panel. It will be cheaper to buy a new one that fix this one. Most Insignia's have a 2 year warranty BTW.

You show your TV to an electrician.

reset it.....read its manual . some tvs have ECO mode...which means...if you do not work with remote for a few hours....it will think there are no watchers so it cuts off video (picture) for power saving.
