How close do u sit to the tv?

if u sit 3 feet from it like if it is beside does it seem to show worse than if u sit further from it and what type of tv is the best out of sharp, sony, and samsung

i had a meter that showed the radiation coming off the screen or from a microwave. my tv was spewing out rays to 4 feet.

my mom always remind me to stay away from the TV... as much as possible it would be 10 feet away... I'm just a butt headed person so i rather stay close as mush as i can... and for the TV brand? i pick samsung..... it's amazing because of its sound effects...
