Can I get HD-quality video to my HDTV using the monitor port on my laptop?

My TV does support TV coming in from a Monitor-Out on a laptop. I'm just wondering what kind of quality I could get. And if not, what would I need to get an HD quality image?

HD-TV adaptors are available I got one with my Radeo x1900XT card that plugs straight into the HDtv on the back of my LCD TV! Hope this helps

have you got a tv card in your lap top? how are you going to get a signal ( aerial )in to your lap top, does your lap top have a vga out put, answer 3x yes you've cracked it

I cannot confirm this works, but you can look at this Grandtec 68267 product: http://www.buyextras.com/gr6809pcco.html Unfortunately I don't have experience with it.
