How to program an old panasonic tv to detect basic cable channels?
-
I have a 1987 Panasonic television that I want to work with basic cable. I need to program the tv to pick up the cable channels but I don't have a remote for it and can't find an auto-program button on it (too old for on screen menus). Do I need a converter box or something? Is there a way to manually program a tv this old without a remote?

Answer:
Hard to say without the model number. I seem to recall that Panasonic's of that era used mechanical slide switches (TV/Cable1[ICC]/Cable2[HRC] etc.) and add/erase buttons. They were usually situated behind or underneath a door or panel.
