How can I pair my Samsung remote with it's TV?
-
I recently bought a new Samsung TV, it lives in the same room as another Samsung TV I have had for several years. The problem is both of the remotes work with both of the TV's, so when I want to turn on one, both of them turn on. Is their a way to pair them with their TV's, so they will only work on one TV each? I don't have any special remotes or signal enhancing devices. They are just the remotes that came with the TV's. The model of the remotes are BN59-00861A (Older TV) AA59-00507A (New TV)

Answer:
No can do. The manufacture sets the remote control frequency. Yes, they are the same. You can't change that. A piece of electrical tape over the IR sensor can do wonders!
