How do I know if a site is safe?

((HELP!!))-I've found this website with unbelievable deals on T.V.'s, How do I know if the site is SAFE&REAL?

  • Ok, I've been hunting for a flat screen tv for a good time now, scouring the web and stores alike to find the best deal... One day I was searching online and came across this website that had deals on tv's that definately seemed way too good to be true. The website I came across is a surplus electronics "company" based out of China I believe, and it seems legit, kinda... I mean, the site does recommend you use a paypal account as your method of paying, and they do send you your package through your choice of any carrier you desire,(UPS, DHL, FedEX, etc.) So it does seem legit, ( and it would be great to come across a deal like this on a website, and it's actually LEGIT and they REALLY COME THROUGH!! It's just the deals on this site are out of this world, and I'm not too sure if I can trust sending my money to them and expect to get a tv sent to my doorstep??

    I wouldn't trust it. Sounds too good to be true. It's very easy for someone in China to put up a site like that, steal your money, and never get caught. I would stick with an American company that has a good reputation and can be verified. http://www.newegg.com has great prices on TV's and they are one of the best electronics suppliers online. I would check things out there.

a website url would be helpful as one can look up who own it and search to see if its a legitimate business or a page to get your hard earned $$$ hard to say atm with the limited info, but 98% of the time if it sounds too good to be true... it probably is
