Who makes Haier TVs?

Is there a manufacturer who makes weatherproof LCD TV enclosures? There are weatherproof TVs but they're $$$$

  • I have seen the weatherproof LCD TVs but they are very costly. Does anyone know of a weatherproof LCD TV enclosure that fits a regular/indoor LCD TV? I know they make underwater camera housings so I'd think they'd make LCD TV weatherproof housings too. Any information is highly appreciated. Thanks

    I bet a few rounds of seran wrap would work! Seriously, I've never seen one. The tricky part is the power cord and other cables (cable tv...). You might have to customer make your own out of something like plexiglass. A machine shop could probably do it for you.

Well, the trick is getting the power cord covered as well, and having it look right to be completely weatherproof. If you haven't already purchased a TV, Sharp and other's make wireless LCD TVs that operate not only on AC power, but also come with a rechargeable battery pack. Then you could just bring the light TV outside when you want to use it. Also, if you haven't purchased the TV, check out Best Buy, their extended service plan's cover heat and humidity, so as long as the TV wasn't exposed to direct water submersion, they would cover the repairs/replacement for 4 years.
