Answer:
"Not connecting to a PC" likely just means there's no VGA input on the TV. It doesn't mean it won't accept any feed from a computer, it just won't accept what HDTV lingo usually refers to as a "PC input". So don't get too concerned over that. HDMI would be your best option. SCART and S-Video are standard definition only. They won't look so great on your HDTV. They might work, I just don't think its worth the bother. So what does your computer have? You missed that half of the equation for us. Does the computer have DVI or VGA? I'll assume the computer doesn't have HDMI, otherwise you wouldn't be asking (but if by some chance it does, use that, HDMI to HDMI and you're done). If the computer has a DVI connection, then look for a DVI to HDMI adapter (try Amazon or local stores). Then just use an HDMI cable. That's video only though. Some DVI to HDMI hookups can do audio over it, but not many. You'd have to investigate your video card to see. More likely you'll want a Stereo Mini to RCA cable. You plug the stereo mini end into the audio output on the computer (or headphone jack if that's all you have). The RCA ends go to TV. So use the HDMI port which has a pair of RCA (red/white) audio ports with it (most HDTVs have at least one HDMI port that is like that). Here's an example of that kind of cable, http://www.amazon.co.uk/Stagg-YC031J2CP-metre-stereo-minijack/dp/B000OR2MEQ/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1257010111&sr=8-2 If the computer has a VGA connection, you're going to have to spend some money. You need a converter box then. Don't get fooled into VGA to HDMI cables, they are a ripoff. You need a VGA to HDMI converter box. Check out this web site for some information on going about such, http://sewelldirect.com/articles/vga-to-hdmi.aspx - but that's for the USA, which I don't think you're in. You might have to ask around and dig around for local options (but essentially that's the gear you'd be looking for).
