What is good TV brand and cable company?

  • Changing to use a flat screen LCD from an old-fashioned bulky television. My family is changing to buy a 37" - 40" TV and we're looking around to see what brands are good. Also, because of the new changes in technology, we have to buy cable, so what companies are good? Advice/comments.

Any TV is good if it works, but when it comes to cable companies, it's COMCAST all the way!

Depending on where you are, there are different companies available and services. Where I live Rogers is where it is at. You can also get a telephone service in addition to all the services they offer. It's all done through cable and it works very well. About rogers digital, it is very good technology wise. You can get an HD reciever with recording features. You can even record movies on the movie channels which I think is a pretty good deal. If you can get Rogers within your area I'd go with that. For a more precise answer just tell us what city you are in and someone will probably research for you. lol.

I have a Sharp 42 inch LCD, and I use Time Warner Cable, you get free HD Channels.

my experience toshiba is the best then sony then sharp... charter is the only cable around here... then you have satellite... but charter is good theyre just really expensive... good luck!
