Sanyo or RCA-Which brand of television would you recommend?

Hi, I have both brands of tv's and they both perform equally well. Its not really the matter of brand you need to worry about when buying a tv, its the picture quality that is important. Well, the picture quality is depended upon two factors, the technology involved such as LCD, Plasma, CRT, DLP). The other factor is the technical detalils or specifications of the product. If you are talking about LCD Sanyo tv or LCD RCA tv you have to find out what the contrast ratio is under the specification. The contrast ratio determines the picture quality of any LCD tv regardless of the brand. Contrast ratio is the ratio between the darkest possible pixel and the brightest possible pixel. The higher contrast ratio tv will provide the best possible picture. So having said that, for an LCD tv of any screen size I would recommend a minimum contrast ratio of 4000:1 and anything below in my opinion is not that great but its up totally up to you. If it is not LCD that you are refering to then I would just judge it by eye. Just so you know, CRT tvs and Plasma tvs produce very high contrast ratios so contrast ratio is not a concern. If it is LCD then contrast ratio really matters. So compare the RCA and the Sanyo, which ever has the minimum as I have given and if it is satisfies your price range, then thats the brand you want to go for. Good luck!

Neither. Go for a Panasonic- they have been very good to me. I've had a Panasonic CRT, LCD, and Plasma and they have all worked amazingly. I like Samsung and LG too.

Neither one...you're better off with Sony, Samsung, Mitsubishi, LG then Hitachi.... Sanyo and RCA are WAY DOWN on the list of good TV sets. Get it?? Way down?

I wouldn't recommend either one, my recommendation would be a LCD "Samsung". Consumers report rates them high as well as a number of other brands.
