How do you stop TV commercials?
-
I know TV commercials have its purpose but how can I maintain watching my shows if I constantly get persuaded to buy something! I'm sick of it. Please don't recommend me to turn of the TV and get some exercise because that's not happening. Instead, guide me to some company that I could vouch to end TV Commercials!

Answer:
Why on earth would you want to end commercials? You will be paying ridiculous subscription fees if commercials are removed. Imagine paying for HBO a hundred times over. If you are really that spoiled that you feel inconvenienced by free television, then going outside isn't a bad idea. If you hate commercials, then just watch premium subscription stations or buy DVDs. You either pay or you watch ads. Most network TV shows play online at the network's website with little or no ads. That's your best option. There are worse things in life than 2 minute interruptions during American Idol. This is not a worthwhile crusade.

The only reliable way to do what you want to do is use a Tivo or other type of DVR. Even PBS runs commercials, so there's no way to avoid them watching anything in real time.

Let Santa help you How to Watch Your Favorite TV Shows Without Commercials Using a DVR By Carla Lucas Rate: (0 Ratings) Tired of spending 20 minutes of every hour you watch TV watching commercials rather than the show you want to see? With a little planning and a DVR (digital recording device), you can zip through the commercials and still end the show at the same time, or just watch it another day at your convenience. I use the DVR service offered by my cable company. The small monthly service charge is worth every penny to not watch the same commercials six times a night. Another option is to purchase a DVR and install it at home. Instructions Difficulty: Moderately Easy Step1 Plan ahead to determine which shows you want to record with the DVR. Step2 Follow the instructions on recording a show provided with the DVR to initiate a recording. Step3 Do something else for the first 20 minutes of an hour-long show or 10 minutes for a half-hour show. This could be watching another TV show or doing something else like reading a book, exercising or putting the kids to bed. Step4 After 10 or 20 minutes, depending on the length of the show (see Step 3), follow the DVR’s instructions to begin viewing the broadcast. Step5 Use the fast forward button (sometimes if you hit it multiple times it goes faster) to quickly breeze through the commercial. Step6 Continue with Step 5 for each commercial break. Step7 By the end of an hour, you will be caught up to the end of the broadcast. Tips & Warnings * An alternative method, one that I use when shows are long later in the evening that I really want to stay up, is to just record the whole show and watch it the next day. * Be careful which buttons you press. Sometimes things get messed up. Try exiting the DVR and then begin viewing again if problems occur. Who Can Help: * Find Electrical Services Here. Sadly, I don't think there is.. You could always do what I do. Pay the extra $ to get DVR or something. I always leave on the channel with the show I want to watch (you can use up to 3 tunners on most DVR's), do other things, then come back 15 minutes later. Watch the show, when a commercial comes on, fast forward until you get to the end of the commercial. You can also watch an hour show in less than 30 minutes this way to.

ok i really like your question the best part is that when cable came out you had to pay for it so there were supposed to be no commercials now you pay for commercials so what i would do is go buy your favorite shows on dvd or try and find a site that offers your favorite tv shows on the net for free good luck

Well, i don't think that's possible, but you could tape your shows then watch them, or if you have DVR record your favorite shows so you don't have to worry about sitting through those boring commercials...I haven't watched commercials in FOREVER.
i like waffles, mmm...
Get Dish Network with a DVR and record all the shows you like to watch and then when the commercials come on you just fast forward through them like they aren't there. It's the only way really to get rid of them.
