Technika tv remote doesnt work and just brought it, how to fix it?

Whilst I have to agree with many of the above comments regarding cheap supermarket TVs there is a useful tip for other who might find this thread when searching in the future... You can use your mobile phone camera to "see" the infra red flash from any working remote control. Point the business end of the remote at your camera then press any of the buttons on the remote. If the phone screen shows you what looks like a little light flashing then the remote works. The problem isn't batteries or a broken remote. Tesco does a lousy job of supporting this brand. They have the same responsibilities as any manufacturer. Take this piece of tat back to the store and get a refund. The more people crucify the supermarkets with refunds and hassle the quicker they'll learn to do the job right instead of just ripping off customers with cheap shoddy goods and appalling after sales support.

You bought the cheapest crap TV you could find. You bought it from a supermarket. You refuse to read the manual. You don't listen when people try to help you. You've dropped yourself into the shytter, and you have the nerve to whine about it. Climb out on your own.

Change the batteies in the remote. If that doesn't cure it, return the remote to the store for testing and/or replacement.
