How much for new TV screen?

How do i program my new flat screen tv?

  • we bought a new 19 inch flat screen tv about a week ago, due to the dtv transition. we are having trouble programming it and receiving channels. there is one more tv in our house, that gets cable through a satellite dish. we do not want cable for this new tv, we just want the regular local programming we use to receive before. on the box, it says that our new tv has a digital tuner. I've read that if televisions have a digital tuner, no other equipment is neccessary. i have looked online to find a solution, a million times and can't find an answer. How do we actually watch the new tv, without getting cable? Do we need an antenna and if so how do we connect it (especially when we dont want it indoors!).

  • Answer:

Yes, you need an antenna. You get one install it, aim it to the towers, plug it into the TV, and do a channel scan.

You should by a cheap digital reciever as everywhere is going digital by 2009 there are certain areas which this does not include but you do not seem to be in that area.
