How to clean the lcd flat screen tv?

  • I used a microfiber cloth dampened to wipe of the tv screen and then wiped it with a dry microFiber cloth.but there are streeks now on the screen.did I hurt the screen?are there any cleaners I can use to get rid of the steeks?Manual said you can use mild cleaner on it but what is a mild cleaner?

    You have to use distilled water. Tap water has chemicals and minerals in it that leave a residue on the screen. Distilled water is almost pure H2O and completely evaporates without leaving any residue. A mild cleaner would be something like a tiny bit of liquid hand soap (as opposed to dish soap - hand soap is milder) and warm water. Only use this if you have to get off fingerprints or something that won't come off with just distilled water. And then you want to use the distilled water to get the soap residue off.

Hurt the screen? No, it's probably the water. Or more exactly, the residue in the water, which you didn't used distilled for, so that's the problem.
