Flyback trafo with focus&screen?

heey guys, i just got a flyback trafo out of a old computer screen. there are 2 buttons on it, focus and screen, what does these 2 buttons do? and can it be dangerous with just AA batterys because it stores it and releases it at once sorry for my english, i am dutch:P

Those control the voltage coming out the smaller red or orange wires, next to the big fat wire. Those are between 2kV to 4kV, depending on the flyback. The output current is only dangerous with certian flyback drivers, namly a ZVS Driver, but even then you need a very high current input voltage source, like 8 amps or more. If the Arc is white, it's probably leathal, though thats not a rule of thumb. Dont ever touch or zap yourself or anyone else for that matter, because even if it doesnt kill, it can cause sever nerve and muscle damage.
