  • plugged in my new xbox to my hdmi tv and the screen is black until my xbox has powered up fully and then a blue screen appears and says out of range. what does this mean? it used to work with old xbox and new one until hdmi port went wrong and got replaced. now it doesnt work at all what can i do about it? and i dont have the correct ports in the tv for the blue green and red leads for xbox neither. help please :)

  • Answer:

First make sure the xbox and TV are set at the same resolution. You said that the HDMI port was replaced. There might be an issue with that port again. If you don't have another HDMI port or component port then there's nothing you can do until you get that HDMI port fixed

Other answers

Could be the xBox is outputting 1080p and the TV can only manage 720p.
