How do I program the channels on my old TV?

How do I program my U-verse remote to change my tv channels?

• So I lost my tv remote and i found my old U-verse remote I programmed it to turn my tv on and off, volume controls and change input through the remote however I can not change my channels (Antenna input/TV). Whenever I try to change the channel the AT&T lights up instead of the TV light. Any way I can change that? Thanks.

  Press the "TV" button at the top of the remote. The remote is then fully functional on your TV instead of a U-verse receiver. ----------------- Per Classics' answer. I stand corrected; sorry for the too-fast response. The "TV" button enables the "TV/Video" button, which changes the input of the TV but it doesn't allow channel changing. At least, that's how my two TVs work with U-verse. For the asker, your choice is to get a universal remote or search the Internet for an original equipment remote for your make and model of TV. You can often find an O/E remote at not much more than a good universal.
