Is it wise to buy a TV from Ebay?

Apart from eBay, where can i buy a good LCD TV for less?

  • Want a new LCD 19 - 22" TV, but can not afford to pay the high high street prices. Can anyone reccomend a good site (apart from eBay) where i can get a good tv? Many thanks

  • Answer:

The key is to use shopping comparison web-site such as this one: http://caseyequip.com/o~c-Flat_Panel_Televisions~a-screen_size__search__22___26_in_~b-96252.html There you can compare prices for multiple vendors. Personally I would recommend a bigger screen. BEST value is 32" SOYO flat screen LCD TV. Wide-screen televisions showing high-resolution content and HDTV look better than regular sets, allowing you to sit closer and experience a more immersive, theaterlike picture. Compared to other liquid crystal display TVs on the market, it is very inexpensive at $399 pricemark. Check out this beauty over here: http://caseyequip.com/p~p-55168628.html Have a good shopping!

Good and cheap don't go together some brands such as Goodmans, Medion, Accoustic Solutions and Matsui use very poor components to get to s cheap price but the resulting TV isn't worth watching. if you want a GOOD TV and cheap then better to pay for a good second hand on that a crappy new one!! they are reliable enough now that so long as its works OK when you buy it it should not go wrong. Try Which? for recommendations

normally if you pay cheap you don't get a good quality product. Most of the TVs being sold as NEW on Ebay are actually customer returns from the main retailers, (Currys, Dixons, Argos) and are graded products, anyone can buy these on public auctions and then after checking that they are working sell them on Ebay as new products. The supermarket LCD TVs are cheap but are poor quality . Its best to invest a bit more on a good quality product

personally, you get what you pay for. i would rather pay a bit more and get something quality as opposed to getting something cheapo that you will have to replace in a year. that being said, my advice to you would be 1. consider something bigger than 22 inches. in my opinion, i would never buy less than 32 in this day and age. 2. costco, BJs, amazon.com, buy.com. also, check www.gottadeal.com they usually have pretty good deals on TVs.

I got mine from http://go4it.freebiejeebies.co.uk and I only spent £5 on it (also open for people in the US, with offers that either cost NOTHING or about $9.99). Sign up and complete ONE of the listed offers to get started, this will be the only money you have to spend- no spam from companies, no details beeing sent on like soem other sites. I can vouch for this as i've completed the site many times and received all the top consoles and an HDTV. BBC and CNN approved the system, check it out http://go4it.freebiejeebies.co.uk
