How do I set my plasma tv picture?

Why is there sound but no picture when connecting my Plasma Tv to a DVD?

Just bought a Panasonic Viera TX-P37X10B Plasma HD Ready Digital Television, 37 Inch and a simple Toshiba SD-290E DVD Player. Tried to connect the two with a (good and brand new!) Scart lead and all we seem to get is sound but no picture at all! We don't even seem to be able to see the DVD's main set-up page! nothing! Tried different scart leads and also tried the DVD on another TV - and it was fine! We have tried both AV1 and AV2 on the TV and we are getting nowhere... When we've contacted Panasonic and the retailer and tried different things over the phone they have decided that the TV sounds faulty and sent us a new one - Outstanding service but did not solve the problem! Any ideas would be appreciated ! Thank you

Did you try another video source ? Perhaps the problem is with the DVD player? By the way, connecting a DVD player to an HDTV via SCART is a horrible way to use your TV. Time to start using component video output.
