How do you fix lines on a RCA tv?

How can I fix the vertical lines on my LCD tv?

  • I have a 32" Emerson LC320EMX TV. A while ago, my girlfriend left the tv on a dvd menu screen all night, and a single green line appeared on the screen after that, though it would fade over time (about 10-15 minutes and my tv was fine). Well, sense then, though we are careful and don't leave the tv on still screens, more and more lines appeared. And now, many of them won't fade. Some of them do, but many stay. It's probably as many as 50 super thin lines, many of them close together to make bigger, thicker lines. I finally can't take it much longer, I can't really afford a new tv, so I'd like to at least get this one repaired if I could. By the way, these lines, after the first one, appeared over the course of probably about a year and a half. Just gradually, a new line here, a new line there. They vary in color from pink to yellow, from blue to green, and black is very common.

Those are dead pixels. It's common to happen on an lcd tv. To my knowledge the only way to fix it is to take it to a repair shop. It should take a week at the least, although I'm not sure how much it'll cost. Good Luck!
