    An HD ready TV has the High Definition decoder built into it as apposed to one that can produce an HD picture when you purchase or rent a decoder from your cable provider. HD ready is more expensive. HDMI is a feature on the newer models HDTVs. First there were RCA Jacks for the audio and video, then in the evolution of picture technology there next came S-Video, Component Jacks, DVI and now HDMI. An HDMI cable system will deliver all your audio and video signals through this one high quality cable as long as your television supports this. If i were in the market for a nice HDTV i would go with either a name brand "DLP" or "LQ Crystal" with the HDMI capabilty.
