I want to make a picture slide show to run at my reunion. What's the easiest and cheapest way to do this?

If all the photos you want to display are already in digital format, then MS Powerpoint would be a good program for creating a slide show. It allows for a music or soundtrack to be run in the background. You could set up a projector and a computer to display these images on a regular screen, or if you prefer, run the computer directly into a large display device such as a plasma monitor.

The software is free. You may have some when you got your digital camera. I think Google has something you can download. Make sure you have a projector available. They are expensive. You can pick the music you want and put that on the CD too.l

If you have access to a computer with Windows XP and a newer projector that has a computer hook up and a screen. You can put the pix in 1 file and have the computer use it as its screen saver by chosing "my picture slideshow" and project it onto the screen.

If your computer came with any programs just try it out until you find the one you want. Also, whenever you buy a new camera they usally have some kind of software to put slideshows together. There are lots of different things to it on. If anything get with some computer nerd and they'll know what to do.
