One point I would like to make. Yahoo Answers is good for those of us that are film professionals , but not as much a digital professional. I too have learned from Fotoace " do not delete your photo's on the camera. Do not use the "delete" button." why/ because doing this leaves behind small fragments of the deleted photo which interferes with the quality of the photo that comes after it. So now I transfer ALL my photo's to the computer and then delete the bad ones off the computer. I then format the memory card before using it again so I have a clean "canvas" on which to create new photo files.

Hi, there Yes, I read your details. Though when we deleted pictures on digital camera, we'd better not take more pictures in case the deleted picture data are overwritten. But that doesn't necessarily mean your original pictures will be written over immediately you keep taking more. As you know, data overwritten process is unnoticeable. You still have chance to recover your deleted pictures from your digital camera. Don't know what kind of recovery software you have tried. But as to my personal experience, if you lost precious pictures you'd better try some professional picture recovery programs. Recommend you to have a try of Wondershare Photo Recovery. This picture recovery program can deep scan your digital camera to search for your pictures (you can also preview the pictures once found). You may get this picture recovery program from this site: http://www.disk-utilities.com/photo-recovery/ But now please don't take more pictures. Hope this program can recover your deleted pictures as most as possible. GOOD LUCK

If you haven't tried this program......make sure you do a deep scan....Download the program http://www.recuva.com? You must not take anymore pictures on your card. You have to use a card reader either on your computer or an external USB card reader.Put the card in the card reader, open the recuva program, the welcome to the recuva wizard will open, click on next. next box, choose 'pictures', click on next, next box choose 'on my media card' click next. See the words 'enable deep scan' click on start. Wait, for it to do it's magic. You need to use a card reader either one already in your computer (some have one, some don't). Or buy an external USB card reader. They are around 10.00 and can be found at walmart, bestbuy, frys, probably target. The problem with built in card readers is that they will usually only read up to a 2G card. I was not able to recover photos by hooking the camera up to the pc with the usb cord, it just won't work. This is the important part. Choose the pics you want to recover, then choose recover, a box comes up asking where you want to save to. Choose documents/my pictures or wherever you want to save your pictures too. The pictures ONLY save to your pc and not the card. Format your card in the camera after you have retrieved your photos and backed them up to an external source.

Sorry, once their deleted, their gone forever. Well, as far as I know anyways. I didn't even know there was software out there to recover deleted pictures, so who knows. But I doubt it.

If you started taking new ones, it is writing over the old ones, so that not even recovery software can get those back.
