Whats a good Fisheye lens for a canon rebel xt?

Fitting an Opteka 0.35 xAF HD^2 fisheye lens to a Canon Rebel XTi?

  • I got an Opteka 0.35 xAF HD^2 fisheye lens for Christmas to fit to my Dads' Canon Rebel XTi. However, we have tried to fix this lens to the original camera as the instructions...instruct, and while it fits on with a lens adaptor (included in the pack, we used the 67 - 52mm adaptor) the view through the camera is extremely blurred no matter how much you zoom in or out. The camera already has a Telephoto lens (18 - 55mm so surely it should fit?) which we normally use, we weren't sure if it has something to do with that? Would the fishey lens work with a normal lens or is it supposed to be compatible with other lenses? Or is there some setting you need to put in before it will work?

  • Answer:

Ouch...... my heart is bleeding that you'd put something like that onto the front of a nice camera !!! I guess you never did any reading here on YA BEFORE you went shopping? Time and time again the regulars around here warn people about those junk "lenses". We tell everyone that yes, they will fit, but you will NOT be happy with them. You learned your lesson the hard way. You have a nice camera, don't buy junk. Buy either nothing or at all, or save up for quality.
