Can my Canon Powershot make Light Graffiti?

• I was experimenting with it a bit, and I found that if I put it to slow-synchro it works for about 2 seconds. But I need much more time. Does anybody know if there's an option to change the shutter speed on this camera? Thanks.

  Which Powershot do you have? I have the SD1000 and I can set the shutter to stay open up to 15 seconds. To do this I press "func. set" and put the camera into manual mode. Then I go back to the "func. set" menu and scroll down to the +/-0. Then I press "Menu" and then I press left on the wheel to increase the shutter length. The one problem with this is that having a long shutter will hugely increase the light coming into the camera. Since there's no way to control the aperture you may need to buy a neutral density filter to cut down the light or else your picture will be overexposed.
