Can I make light graffiti on an Nikon P500?

  • I wanted to know if I could make light graffiti with an Nikon P500, If so, can you pleeease give me steps on how to adjust the settings, etc.

    1) Put the camera in manual mode 2) turn ISO to 100 or 200 3) set aperture to f/11 or so 4) an exposure of 15 seconds or so should be plenty 5) go to a dark place 6) put the camera on a tripod (or other sturdy surface) 7) turn 2-sec timer on, press the shutter button and away you go.

All those instructions are great. Only one problem. Best I can tell, the max shutter speed on this camera is only 2 seconds, and only in 2 modes. Sorry, but you can't light paint with the Nikon P500 unless you can do something really great in only 2 seconds.
