How bad is it not to charge the battery fully?

How long does Fujifilm Z5 fd digital camera take for the battery to fully charge?

• i just bought a Fujifilm Z5 SD digital camera from bestbuy, and i was so excited to finally go home and use it.... i placed the battery in the camera correctly, and plugged it in the ac-adapter charger thing. 4-5 hours passed, and my camera wasn't working. but even without the battery, but with the ac-adapter, the camera worked perfectly fine. i know that when you buy a camera for the first time, youre supposed to FULLY charge it and all.... but does anyone know just how many hours its going to take for the z5 FD to fully charge up? do i need to charge it overnight? 24 hours? please help me! x_x

  According to the user manual for your camera, the battery should be fully charged within about 2 hours. So, 4-5 hours is much too long. I suggest you READ the user manual (pages 16-17 for charging instructions and troubleshooting). Also read the CAUTION notes. Make sure the battery is correctly inserted. During charging the indicator lamp will be Red. When charging is complete the lamp will go out. If there is a charging error the lamp will blink Red good luck...
