How can I use my old memory card on my new camera?

Can you use a memory card for a Kodak camera with ANY Kodak camera?

  • Any help? I think I broke my mom's camera...whoops. So I was thinking of maybe getting her a new one for Christmas. (thank the Lord it's almost here!) & I looked on the Best-buy and Wal-mart websites...but I haven't had any luck in finding her camera. She has a Kodak M753 Easyshare. So I was wondering if I could just put the memory card from her old camera into the new one I'm getting her? Would this work or not?

    If its a regular SD card it should fit all cameras. Sony had made it imposable to buy anything but sony cards, but i think Kodak is ok, i have had a kodak and another kodak and a canon and they all took the same card.

As long as they are the same type of memory cards. Most digital cameras use "SD" cards, I believe - those are the small flat ones that are about an inch wide and an inch and a half long. My Kodak M853 uses an SD card, and I believe the whole Easyshare line does as well. So just make sure the camera you buy uses SD cards.

Yes. SD and SDHC cards are universally used by all P&S cameras but Sony and Olympus

Her Kodak M753 has a SD/MMC card slot. Just make sure the new camera has the same. Both the Kodak M1073 and the M1085 can use SD cards.

It will work just fine. Just in case it doesn't, use the new camera to format the old SD card and it will work.
