What's so good about the polaroid 1000?

Which film should I use for my Polaroid Land Camera 1000 / Rainbow?

  • My grandad just passed away and I found between his personal stuffs a vintage Polaroid Land Camera 1000! It is in perfect condition, it has its manual too! There says that it just works with the SX 70 Film that comes with the battery included (the cam doesn't have any battery) I did some research and found that it is called Polaroid One Step Rainbow now and it is discontinued! So I'd like some help to know wich film should I use! I found the PX 70 is for SX 70 cameras but the reviews are terribles and doesn't specify if it comes with the battery like the old SX 70 films. Thaks!

  • Answer:

If it is in "perfect" condition I would try and sell the camera as an antique! Buying film (IF it is available) will only be a waste of money and very frustrating to get decent results. Spare yourself the grief!
