Digital Cameras that DON NOT use LITHIUM batteries?

  • Hi. I am looking for a digital camera that does not use LITHIUM batteries. Are there any of these cameras any more, because I am not a big fan of LITHIUM batteries due to the amount of time I use the camera. Also, I cannot afford to buy 2 sets of batteries to wait for one to charge while the other can be used. I do not really care about the cost of the camera at the moment, but as long as it is not NIKON because I tried it and the resolution makes the pictures look bad while it is on the camera. Thanks

I don't understand your logic. You cannot afford an extra set of rechargeable batteries that costs $10, but the cost of the camera is no object? A Canon SX130IS with 8 rechargeable AA NiMH batteries and charger should be around $200. Since the camera uses 2AA batteries, it gives you 4 sets of batteries before you have to recharge.

If a digital camera uses AA batteries it'll take either standard or lithium... it doesn't matter because both types put out 1.5 volts... that's what matters. It's just that lithium has a much longer life.
