What kind of video camera can you use to block wind?
-
ok you know when you get a video camera then when you watch it on tape, you hear some wind blowing into the microphone. It's annoying to have the person film outside then have to hear the noise. Does anyone know what kind of video camera to get that will block out the wind noises or does every camera have a feature to block out the wind?

basic video cams use a built in electret condenser style mic. They are very sensitive, and thus prone to noise and the way they are enclosed does nothing to prevent wind noise. The real way to get noise free audio is to use an external microphone with a wind screen on it, sometimes referred to as a "wind sock". Unfortunately a lot of cams don't support the use of an external mic.
