How do I get rid of Facebook lite?

Videos recorded in AVCHD Lite will not upload to Facebook or Youtube. Help?

  • I recently bought a Panasonic Lumix ZS3 which is capable of recording in AVCHD Lite and Motion JPEG. I have recorded many videos in the AVCHD Lite format and imported them to my Macbook via iMovie. When I try and upload these videos to Facebook and Youtube, they give me errors and do not upload. The only way I can get them online is by using a file converter to convert them to MP4 from the AVI they import as. When I do this, there is a dramatic loss of quality. Is there a way to upload them without this issue, or are these videos a lost cause? If the latter is the case, would Motion JPEG files have this same issue?

  • Answer:

    Since you got the videos into iMovie, just export as a h.264/AVC file - it will save as a MOV file type and both FaceBook and YouTube will take and process that video.
