Need help with my digital movie camera?

I'm looking for a digital camera with movie mode. Can you help?

  • Ok I'm looking for a digital camera with movie mode. I had a Kodak C743 and it just broke recently because while taking a picture of my sister and her friends in the pool it dropped and fell in my pool. Sucks I know. Now I'm trying to buy one before August 5th. I'm going to a concert and need it that day. I live in New Jersey know any place where I can buy this kodak camera or one like it with movie mode. I looked at circuit city where I bought the camera and they don't have this model online or in stores. I went to best buy and walmart and target and they don't carry it. HELP PLEASE! I didn't want to buy it off the Kodak website because they are asking a lot for it. AGAIN I SAY PLEASE HELP ME! THANK YOU!

Even though I personally own this ultra compact camera, I would still like to highly recommend the purchase of a Nikon Coolpix L10 for the following reasons: 1. Besides taking well-exposed hi-quality 5 megapixel pictures, it uses a standard set of rechargeable double AA batteries which last a very long time; 2. Has a 3x optical zoom; 3. Takes "continuous" 2 frames per second "action/sports" images; 4. Has macro feature for close-ups of small objects focused under 6 inches; 5. The flash setting for "red-eye" correction is on the navigator wheel and not within a submenu; 6. It's very small and light; 7. Uses inexpensive SD memory cards - a 2 gig card sells for $19 at samys.com; 8. The digital video feature takes wonderful "sound" videos which are noise free. It records the piano very well with it's built-in microphone; 9. It comes with a USB 2.0 transfer cable which you connect to your USB computer port; 10. Has tripod mount on bottom of camera; 11. And the price is a mere $119 [sold at Samy's Camera - www.samys.com, and Staples.com.] Review(s) can be found at www.amazon.com [Query: "Nikon Coolpix L10" along with pictures provided by satisfied purchasers.] Good luck!

when buying a digital camera you must keep in mind that most of the digital cameras are designed for still photos with option of making video. i have tried many cameras, canon, casio, nikon, fuji, kodak, olympus and samsung and surprised to discover that some of these can capture great videos also specially camera with 30fps and mpeg 4 format (duration and quality of video is better). new sony cameras can even perform better if you have hd tv since it can record on full hd1080, and one more thing look for camera that have option of zooming in while capturing movie. reproduction of colors in canon, fuji and olympus cameras are also great for still and video but video is consuming lot of memory space.
