How can you retrieve deleted pictures from a digital camera?

Is there anyway at all to retrieve digital pictures from my kodak camera once they have been deleted?

    Do NOT copy or paste anything onto the card or save any more pictures on it. There are a couple of free file-recovery programs available. I've read good reviews for PhotoRec: a file recovery program program specifically for lost or damaged media files. I've also read good things about PC INSPECTOR File Recovery and ADRC Data Recovery Software Tools v1.0. Try these if PhotoRec doesn't work. Simply download and install one of the programs above, plug the card into your card reader, and use the program. As long as you haven't written anything on the card since you discovered this problem you'll be able to recover most, if not all, of your images. The more things you've saved or moved onto the card, the less likely you'll be able to recover your files. The amount of recoverable data decreases significantly as you save or move stuff onto the card.
