Whats wrong with my digital camera?

  • my partner took this photograph along with a few others last night. most of them were fine except this one and a couple of others: http://www.flickr.com/photos/22652498@N02/?saved=1 can anyone tell me why this photo is the way it is? the other strange one is of an area which reflects a little light from the ceiling onto the glass but it seems to have wandered all over the picture, and then the camera seems to have merged 2 photos together. please help!

    you have the camera on the nighttime setting or someone has been playing about with manual mode.

a lot of digital have a `double exposure mode`. a cigarette moving.flash off of a reflective surface.

Hi Moonkey, That's a real strange one! The only thing I could think is that there could be a glitch on your camera that applies itself when the camera is set to sepia mode - possible a long exposure mode? The only thing I would suggest is getting the manual out and find out how to do a factory reset which will reset every function of the camera to their default factory settings. If that doesn't work, it can only be an intermittent fault. Good luck Boris

iam thinking that you may need to have a good look at yr settings write down the setting as you take a photo on each one yeah boring but you will then maybe able to see which is the best for the pic yr taking , the swirl of lite on the pics of yrs looks like movment due to unsteady hands, try a small tripod to see if it helps. hope this has been a bit of help if not take to yr local photo shop and ask there.
