Dust on inside of compact camera lens?
-
I have a Panasonic FX-100 compact digital camera. I took some photos outside and noticed a dark circle, like dust or a water spot on the lens, on the upper left of all the sky scene photos. I cleaned the lens and looked at it with a magnifier glass and could see nothing on the lens. When you zoom in, the spot goes from blurry to very small and defined, like a dot. Makes me think a particle is on the inside of the lens. Is this common with a compact camera? I use it mostly outside and I wondered if something was able to get inside. I live in AZ and it can be dusty and very sunny and warm. Any way to clean this or do I just continue to crop out the spot in all my photos as I have been doing as my only choice? Thanks. Jeff

Answer:
Yes, you probably have dust inside the camera. Call Panasonic and ask their advice about getting it cleaned. You don't want to have to crop out that spot forever! Panasonic (800) 211-PANA
