What is a good digital camera that takes GOOD video and GOOD pictures?

    rude answer - whichever one has a good photographer! polite answer - Look for a camera that has a larger sensor than just 1/2.5" These cameras have cleaner images. Also, look for a camera that shoot video in higher resolution than just 640 by 480. Example : Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX2K has a 1/1.65 in and shoots video up to 1280 x 720.

Hi, Nikon is a very good option which takes good videos as well. I had done a short film with the same camera. I would recommend you buy Nikon or Canon Ixus rather than Casio. I currently use Panasonic Lumix which is again an excellent camera. All in all Nikon is perfect. Hope it works
