Whats a defective camera?

Does anyone know whats a really good Digital SLR camera to buy?

  • I'm confused with the number of megapixels. Is it that the more pixels the better? or is there other factors of qualities to look for in a camera? I found 3 good ones which im trying to compare which are: CanonEOS Rebel T2i 18.0-Megapixel Digital SLR Camera; CanonEOS Rebel T2i 18.0-Megapixel Digital SLR Camera; PENTAXK-x 12.4-Megapixel Digital SLR Camera. However, if anyone know any camera which is really good, please let me know. thankyou

  • Answer:

Megapixels really don't make a huge difference until you go into doing a lot of heavy cropping and enlarging your pictures. You want to look for things like the sensor, and the level of noise at higher ISO speeds. (lower the noise the better). Secondly, Canon definitely. The best cameras out there. I just bought a T2i and love it!! I also got the kit lens with it, the 55-250 mm is, and also the 85mm f/1.8 USM. The 85mm is a great lens!! The others are decent. Anyway, my point is that Canon also will give you the option of many great and affordable lenses to go along with your new camera body!

If you are confused about something as simple as pixels, the save your money. You will never figure out how to use a DSLR properly. Buy a point and shoot with manual controls like the Canon s95 instead. Once you figure out how to take good photos in manual mode you will be ready to buy a DSLR.

I would def. go with the Rebel T2i. Nikon has a good one, but personally i still think the rebel T2i is top of the line.

You only have two cameras listed (t2i twice and a pentax). This one is "really good". http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/professional/products/professional_cameras/digital_slr_cameras/eos_1ds_mark_iii So are these: http://www.hasselbladusa.com/

This is what I got with a Pentax Kx and a cheap 500mm screwmount mirror lens. http://www.illustratedphotography.com/photo-contest/photo-contest-entry/3480
