What type of digital camera should i buy?

What brand and type of point-shoot digital camera should I buy?

  • I want to buy a quality digital camera within my budget (I only use disposible cameras these days), should I aim to buy a particular brand or type of camera? What features are necessary? I am shooting to spend less than $150.

  • Answer:

You might want to check out Consumer Reports for a website and search archived articles on digital point/shoot cameras. Also sites like cnet.com have some very helpful guidance in helping you make the right digital cam choice, too. You're looking for a cam that's affordable, easy to understand/use and offers very good/impressive quality pictures.

check out sites like deals2buy.com or amazon.com. you generally can't go wrong with a canon camera - a few of their models are available for under $150.

when you really want to buy a cam, invest some more money and buy a 5-6 Megapixel camera with at least 3x zoom and 2.5 LCD. I think Sony is the best.
