How can you edit video from Samsung Galaxy S2?

• I want to make a video using the Galaxy S2 and upload it to youtube but first I want to edit it on my computer and it needs to be in FULL HD 1080p. I use Kies air to transfer the HD video from the phone to the computer but it downloads as a mp4 file and it looks TERRIBLE and it doesnt even play back in HD on the computer. oh and it plays on Quick Time player. how do I get it to download in FULL 1080p HD and keep its quality, but I know it looses some of its quality between the transfer but it shouldn't loose that much. is it because quicktime cant play HD or what is it.

  A few things to try. Rather than Kies, try a direct USB transfer and see what happens. If no difference, look online for the vlc player or IVI player, open your existing Kies Air transferred file and see if your image looks as expected. The bigger issue you may face is the audio going out of sync when exporting the 1080 - hopefully Samsung will work this issue out. I have the SII and have this sync issue when exporting the 1080. I have also done the direct to youtube export the phone offers and no sync problems. QuickTime is great and should play properly. I have QuickTime Pro and it works just fine. Maybe the free version does not and you need pro?? iMovie should as well. Also, I believe there is an app you can use to transcode the file to another format than mp4, but the name of it escapes me. That other responder guy - Jim - has been trashing people in the camera section for using the word film and filming when talking about digital cameras. I have worked in the film industry for over 25 years and we (seasoned pros, oscar winning filmmakers) use the term Film & Filming when working with digital cameras all the time.
