How to get rid of that fuzzy screen when filming TV with a digital camera?
-
I wanted to record a game I'm playing, but since I can't afford those Dazzle screen recorders, I figured I'd just take my digital camera and record the TV. The thing is, whenever I point my digital camera at the TV, the TV screen looks all fuzzy and it looks as if there are black lines moving across it really fast. Is there any way to prevent this or at least make it look a little better?

Answer:
The simple answer, unfortunately, is no. You're trying to record something that is being refreshed line by line (your tv) with something that is taking still frames (your camera) at so many frames per second. Those still frames are capturing the lines on your tv being refreshed with new data. Our eyes don't see it that way but the camera does. So, those lines you see moving across the screen are real and your camera is capturing them.
