What is a good point and shoot camera to buy for under $200?

What is the next lens I should buy for my new Nikon D60 camera?

  • I have the free 18-55 VR AF Lens you get with the D60 but I need another lens for the camera to reach its full potential compered to silly little point and shoot cameras.. What is a good 2nd lens to buy... I was thinking 55-200 VR AF Thank you for your answers.

55-200 is what i may be getting for my d40 so i would say that is a natural choice

you might want to look at the 18-200mm Vr from nikon or the 18-200 OS from sigma. You might even be able to sell ur 18-55 on ebay to pay for ur new lens. I have the sigma 18-200 - great lens, versatile and no problems in 2 years :)

The 55-200mm VR is a good choice on a small budget. Another option would be a 70-300mm VR. The cost is about twice what the 55-200mm is.

I would recommend the new 35mm f/1.8 DX lens. Compared to a zoom, this lens used wide open or at like f/2.0 will provide you with photos that a compact cannot take. Especially for people photos and indoor ones. It's "only" $200.
