How can I get my laptop to read my digital camera's sd card?

  • I just got the Canon SD750 digital camera as a gift and I love it. It came with a very small sd card, only 32 MB and made by Canon. I plan on buying a bigger one later, but for now I'll use this. The problem is when I put it in my laptop it says that it can't find driver software for the sd card. I've looked but can't find anywhere, not even Canon's site, that lets me download "driver software". Where can I find it?

What computer do you have. Does it match the specifications on the side of the box your camera came in? The operating system my not be new enough to work with your camera or memory cards. The CD that came with the SD750 has the driver you need on it. Another option is to connect the CAMERA to the PC and download the pictures that way. Your PC will recognize the camera, and the picture transfer wizard will startup.
