Why won't my camera import the pictures to my computer?

How can i make my computer let me import pictures from my camera again?

i have a Coolpix s230 camera and normally it has let me import my pics in my computer but it stopped for some reason. I have the software installed and i have two usb cables so i know thats not the problem. when i put in my ipod usb, it woks and my ipod charges but my camera doesnt. not even the autoplay shows. help?! oh, and i tried restarting it. I've been trying to import the pics since Sunday.

Technically I can't help you except to relate the answers I have seen on this site. The most common answer is to get a card reader and plug that into your computer. I would recommend a multi (accepts all memory cards) card reader. Many people have this problem especially with Coolpix's. Camera is supposed to charge also. Then try Nikon Nikon 1-800-645-6689
