Where to download a free wireless network utility?

Canon EOS Utility Driver download?

  • I got the camera (Canon EOS D30) as a gift and got the CD for the EOS Utility download and I did download the software but I still can't download the pictures off of my camera because my computer says I am missing a Driver. Can someone help find a link on the internet so I can't download a Driver because I have searched high and low and cannot find a Driver. :\ Thank you!

    I agree. If you use a USB card reader, you don't have to worry about drivers at all. Your camera, which btw, is the EOS 30D, not D30...uses CF (compact flash) memory cards. You can buy a multi card reader that reads many types of memory cards. Then all you do is connect it to your computer's USB port, insert your CF card...and voila! your computer will detect it as a removable drive. Look in My Computer or Computer (on your Desktop) if you need to. Then simply copy the files from the CF card over to your hard drive. When your files have successfully been transferred (and backed up) remove your CF card from the reader, using the 'Safely Remove Hardware' option found in your Task Bar...then put the card back in your camera, turn it on, go into the Menu and Format the memory card to delete all files from it. Just look up...Format in your EOS 30D Instruction Manual if you don't know how. The simple solution is what most of us regulars here do - use a usb card reader. Readers aren't expensive. I've been using only readers for years for all uploads, video and stills, with no problems, easy to do.
